Professional:
The Calhoun County School District Child Nutrition Services Department is comprised of food service professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being, and their ability to learn. We support learning by providing nutritious meals daily and promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition.
Healthier Students:
Well-nourished students have higher test scores, increased school attendance, improved concentration, and improved classroom behavior. Students who are physically fit sleep better and are better able to handle the physical and emotional challenges they encounter during the day.
High Standards:
All foods served or sold at our schools meet state and federal nutritional requirements which are based on the United States Department of Agriculture USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

The Parent-School partnership is of primary importance in supporting student health. Child Nutrition Services is committed to providing healthy, fresh, and delicious meals in a safe and clean environment, and we welcome your helpful suggestions.

Child Nutrition is excited about the new school year. The CN staff missed all the students served and cannot wait to see each smiling face. Parents, My School Bucks will be active beginning Tuesday, August, 1, 2023 for deposits to be made into your child's accounts. Be sure to fill out the Free and Reduced Meal Application for your child(ren). This year we are in the process of having the Free and Reduced Meal Application filled out online through a safe and secure website. Online applications will be more private, accurate and a way for you to make sure your application has been received. You just simply click on either icon below and you will be redirected to fill out the meal application (My School Apps) or make a deposit into your child's account (My School Bucks).
Calhoun County Child Nutrition operates under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Both programs operate under the Income Eligibility Guidelines for 2023-2024. Parents are encouraged to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Applications online in order to determine if their child(ren) are eligible for Free, Reduced or Paid meals. Once an application has been processed, you will receive a letter with the eligibility decision. Please keep this letter for you records. It may be useful in other programs requiring proof of eligibility.

Lunch
FREE - $ 0.00 REDUCED - $ 0.40 PAID - $ 3.50
Adult Breakfast - $ 2.50 Adult Lunch - $ 4.25
Meal Applications must be completed every year in order to determine a child's eligibility. Temporary status carry over from the previous school year will expire on September 12, 2023. The student will default to PAID status beginning September 13, 2023, if they do not have an application of file for the 2023-2024 school year. This means they will be be charged $ 2.25 for breakfast and $ 3.50 for lunch.
Paper applications are available in every Calhoun County School office and cafeteria. ONLINE applications are preferred and may be completed by clicking the My School Apps Apply Today button below.
